"CW Gurney and the first Dakotas Nurserymen"
presented by Mike Gurney
Mike Gurney, proprietor of Yankton Nurseries and Garden Center, has extensively researched the Gurney family name and legacy. His great-great-grandfather, CW Gurney, was one of the first great nurserymen in the Dakotas. Mike will tell the story of the historical business close to the hearts of many in the Yankton, SD region. Yankton's America's 250 Celebration committee is the sponsor. A light lunch will be served prior. Feed Your Mind events are held on the first Friday of each month, and there is a free-will donation to attend. The one-hour event will be held on the second floor of the Mead Building, 82 Mickelson Dr in Yankton, SD.
