Description
The Friends of the Yankton Community Library are excited to host visits from children’s author Coach Sloth in Yankton! Coach Sloth will be visiting all of the Yankton elementary schools from May 11 through May 13. Sloth will hold a special literacy event at the Yankton Community Library, 515 Walnut, on Monday, May 11 at 6 pm. Light refreshments will be served, and books will be available for purchase at the event.
Sloth is a former Iowa State University football player, football coach, and extra in many notable movies, such as ‘We Are Marshall’ (2006), ‘Leatherheads’ (2008), ‘Touchback’ (2011), ‘Dark Knight Rises’ (2012), and ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ (2012). Sloth has published 10 children’s books, and estimates that he has visited more than 1,300 schools in 25 different states and shared his books to more than 500,000 students.
This all-ages event is free of charge, and no registration is required. If you need additional accommodation to participate in this event, please contact the library.
